MY REVIEW:
I laughed, I swooned, I cried.
This was such a wonderful story about grief, timing, and the idea of finding your way back to a person. When I first read the synopsis, I was so curious of how this was going to work and how it was going to end. I’ve always been obsessed about stories where characters meet in the past or some alternate universe/timeline (you can blame Barbie in the Nutcracker for that) then somehow find each other again. I’m so happy to report that The Seven Year Slip does just that and knocked it out the park.
It’s an understatement when I say I love Clementine and Iwan’s journey together and as individuals. Ashley Poston did a beautiful job in weaving their lives, though a little bit predictable, where I was still left GASPING after every reveal. Not to mention the detail in how things and feelings were described—ya girl felt it as she listened to the audiobook and read along on her kindle. This book gave me romance, banter, magic, wonder, etc. and made me feel so many things!
So I highly recommend if you’re looking for your next read in the genre. I swear it’s worth your time.
